December 8, 2009 Special Meeting - Opening Gravel Crushing Bids
SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 8, 2009
7:00 p.m.
TO OPEN BIDS FOR GRAVEL CRUSHING
Chairman Dyson called the Special Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Before opening the bids, Chairman Dyson commented that he had talked to Tony Fornengo about available gravel in the Fornengo gravel pit. There is a possible 30,000 yds available. The cost to the Town would be less than what we would pay to have it crushed.
Chairman Dyson opened the two following bids:
Pope: $1.99/ton - $35,820.00
Rydbeck: $1.63/ton – $23,880.00
Don made the motion to accept the Rydbeck bid. Marty seconded. Motion passed.
Rydbeck will move the crushing equipment into the Perkins Gravel Pit as soon as weight limits go off in the spring.
Don made the motion to adjourn the Special Meeting. Marty seconded. Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
